Robert Hesslink Jr. has been a highly valued and esteemed member of the financial services industry since 1993 when he joined his father, Robert Sr., in the family business. Prior to joining the family firm, Robert Jr. served in the U.S. Navy for seven years in the Medical Services Corps. He was honorably discharged in 1993 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Robert Jr. immediately embraced the role of a financial advisor, earning the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) designations from the American College. These designations and coursework helped supplement his undergraduate and graduate studies. But perhaps the best education came from Robert Sr., who taught Robert Jr the importance of trust and fairness, honed over his own 40+ year career in financial services.
Robert Jr. took the reins of the family business in 2001 when Robert Sr. passed away. By this time, he had become a General Securities Principal with the firm, obtaining the Series 24 license. During this time, the Hesslinks began the move to a fiduciary model of investment advice and duty of care, which would soon become the preferred model for investment advice. In 2024, Robert Jr. aligned his practice with David and Tina Thiele at Kalyx Capital Management in Bend, Oregon, in order to provide continuity for the future. In addition, the team approach provides the depth and breadth of investment experience necessary for today’s investment environment.
When not sitting across the table from his clients, Robert enjoys playing competitive USTA tennis and thrifting with his wife, Kit.
